We currently have 10 allotments on our site at Quarrington Hill and have recently acquired land for an additional 4 plots. Tarmac who have two quarries nearby have agreed to help us by clearing the land, bringing in topsoil, fencing and planting the new perimeter. This means we will soon be in a position to offer some of the residents on our waiting list a brand new plot.
The allotments are currently managed by our clerk and two parish Councillor’s who have delegated authority to carry out inspections and deal with allocations as vacancies arise. You can view the rules by following the following link:
There is a waiting list for our allotments. Residents wanting a second plot will only be allocated a plot when there are no other residents of the parish on the list.
Applicants from outside of the parish will only be allocated a plot when all demand from within the parish has been met. People waiting for an allotment are given a reference number and can find out from the chart below where they currently are on the list.
