Run by the community for the community
Coxhoe Village Hall is run by a Management Committee made up of community volunteers. It aims to bring this important community hub into the 21st Century while ensuring a sustainable future.
The Village Hall, fully equipped with a bar and modern kitchen, is an excellent place for special occasions such as weddings, birthday parties and christenings. There are other rooms available for smaller occasions and parties with a portable bar if needed. The Hall has been extensively refurbished over the last couple of years, including state of the are heating and energy saving systems, and more improvements are being planned. In 2022 over the last few months there has been much work done and a new lift installed in the Hall to provide greater access to all members of the community.
The Village Hall hosts a range of community activities from from a weekly parent and toddlers group to fitness and dance groups. It also holds weekly Cubs, Scouts and Beavers groups. It also hosts a bookshop known as ‘The Reading Room ‘open several mornings a week. The Village Hall is where the Coxhoe and Community Pantry is held on Monday mornings and Thursday evenings, and much, much more besides.
