We are incredibly excited to be hosting a family event to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.
The event will be held at the Active Life Sports Hall and Field on Sunday 7th May 1pm to 4pm.
Thanks to Coxhoe United, Coxhoe Scouts and Coxhoe Parish Council Youth Team for leading on children’s entertainment, and to Maura McKeon (County Councillor) for help with funding, we are able to offer a wide range of activities completely free of charge.
To look forward to on the day we have arranged:
– Bouncy Castle
– Face Painting
– Arts & Crafts
– Scavenger Hunts
– Marshmallow Toasting
– Football / Penalty Shootouts
– Quiet board games room serving afternoon tea
Also available there will be:
– Refreshments
– Carnival Rides
– Summer stalls
– Name the Royal Teddy Bear raffle!
(Proceeds from merchandise / raffle sales will go to Coxhoe and Area Community Pantry.)
We are also delighted to officially open the Shaun Henderson Community Sports Ground at 1.30pm on the day. Shaun’s family and friends will be in attendance and all are invited to the grand opening at the main gate to commemorate a much loved and missed member of the community, and celebrate a new community space in his memory. More details on the launch will follow.
Volunteers to assist with activities, serve afternoon tea and run stalls are still needed so any offer of help throughout the day would be much appreciated. Please contact Sophie, Parish Clerk, if you can spare any time: 07988283287.
We look forward to seeing you there!
