Our youth club staff and volunteers will be distributing some healthy packed lunches and activity packs for children and young people over the next couple of weeks. The pack will include a lunch of sandwiches, a drink and fresh and dried fruit, along with a few things to keep the young people busy and entertained for a while. We have a variety of packs for different ages so please get in touch early to book; we’ll do our best to make sure each child gets something age appropriate. There’ll be some information too about our youth clubs in Coxhoe and Quarrington Hill, which are currently meeting online.
On Friday 14 August our youth staff and volunteers from the Community Centre will be on the village green at Quarrington Hill, so you can come and collect packs from us if you wish. They’ll be there from 9.45 to 10.45 (or until packs run out). Parents should accompany younger children (under 12) to get the packs. We’ll have social distancing marked out so please keep your distance, collect the pack and take it home to enjoy, and help to keep everyone safe. We ask that people do not gather on the village green.
If you can’t make it then, just get in touch to let us know you’d like one. If you live in Coxhoe or you can’t make it on Friday at Quarrington Hill, our fantastic volunteers and youth team can deliver a pack to your child(ren).
The packs are first come first served so please contact us as soon as possible to book your packs, or to ask any questions, by emailing youthclubs@coxhoeparishcouncil.gov.uk and giving your address and the ages of the children or young people.
We are only able to provide the packs to residents of Coxhoe Parish (which covers Coxhoe and Quarrington Hill). Please check allergy and safety information on all packs received. We hope they will be thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who gets one.
