Q Guild of Butchers has unveiled its Smithfield ‘Star’ Awards shortlisted finalists. This year revamped and restyled with a brand-new star rating through which 3 star, 2 star or 1 star certificates will be awarded to products achieving a set standard.
All products achieving 3 star are further pitched against each other and re-judged for the top award in each category. The judges had a hard task of deciding which products to put forward.
Shortlisted butchers, some of which were shortlisted in multiple categories, have until 24 March to learn which of their products has made the grade when the Smithfield ‘Star Awards’ will be presented on the Q Guild’s much anticipated return to the refurbished Butchers Hall in London.
The event will also crown the overall Smithfield ‘Star’ Awards ‘Champion of Champions,’ which is amongst the highest accolade an independent Q Guild butcher can hope to attain.
All the best of luck to Coates butchers for more success. Coxhoe has its fingers firmly crossed.
