As Coxhoe Parish is built up of two villages individual questionnaires and responses are displayed

Most of the information is relevant for both villages  however some is specific to each village and each village has different priorities

Coxhoe village Questionnaire

Two questionnaires were delivered to each household in July 2004,a household questionnaire and a young persons (11-18years)questionnaire.In addition a questionnaire was sent to all pupils at Coxhoe Primary School

Thank you to the 257 households who completed and returned the questionnaire, this constitutes a 17% return for the village and Durham Rural Community Council confirm that anything over 10% is a representative sample.

Thank you also to the 12 young people and the children of the school who completed and returned the questionnaire.

Coxhoe Likes and Dislikes

There are many useful and enlightening comments written in a challenging and largely positive way. the  majority of the dislikes are covered in the specific categories.

Many consider Coxhoe to be a friendly village which is pleasant to live in with many good features.

 

Quarrington Hill Village Questionnaire

Two questionnaires were delivered to each household in July 2004, a Household Questionnaire and a Young Persons (11-18 years) Questionnaire.  In addition a Questionnaire was sent to all pupils at Cassop Primary School.

Thank you to the 177 Householders who completed and returned the questionnaires.  This constitutes a 57% return for the village and Durham Rural Community Council confirm that anything over 10% is a representative sample.

Thank you also to the 14 key stage 1 (4-7year olds) and the 18 key stage 2 (7-11 year olds) who returned questionnaires.

Quarrington Hill Likes and Dislikes

The village appreciated a warm community spirit situated in fine countryside with enjoyable walks and views.

There was also many varied and interesting comments made with particular reference to traffic and the refuse tip.

 

COLLATING INFORMATION

Durham Rural Community Council retain all the completed questionnaires but we have provided the Parish Plan Working Group with aggregated data which they have compiled.
