Youth Service Update – Your views sought
We are seeking users views on our Youth Clubs and you can sumit your views on line!
Our new staff have been undergoing training to support our young people and our provision is growing. A new Junior Youth Club has now started at Quarrington Hill and a new Girls Group has also started on a Tuesday, which was requested by our young people. Our new Clerk and our Youth Team are reviewing all of our policies and procedures to make sure our young people have fun and feel safe. New
behaviour rules have been implemented to help support this, which our young people and their parents have signed up to.
Our young people have been identifying new equipment that they would like to improve their sessions funded from a £3,000 grant from East Durham Rural AAP, and various games and pieces of equipment will arrive soon. Our aim for our Youth provision is for its activities to be driven by our young people.
The Parish Council is keen to hear parents’ and other people’s views, so if you’d be interested just drop in to:
- Coxhoe Active Life on 16/3/2018 between 5:30—8:45pm
- Quarrington Hill Community Centre on 16/4/2018 between 5:30—7:00pm.
We have made available copies of a consultation questionnaire where we ask a series of questions and ask for your views. These are aimed at users of our Youth clubs. We would like you to complete a questionnaire and send it to our Parish Clerk, Claire, at the Village Hall. You can down load a pdf version of the form here:
