As you might know, at the request of Quarrington Hill, Coxhoe Parish Council took a 30 year lease of the wood to preserve it as a wood for community use. The Council are seeking a new team of residents to help maintain and develop the wood. If you are interested in helping, please contact the Parish Clerk for details.
On Saturday 21st April 2018 from 10.30 to 11.30 drop in to Quarrington Hill Community Centre, have tea, coffee, juice and biscuits and find out more about Kingswood, what needs to be done and how the community can get involved; the Council wants to hear your views on what should be done. There’ll be a children’s quiz and the opportunity to catch up with your local Councillors.
From 11.45 to about 12.30 look around the wood with Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and Durham Bird Club Representative Richard Cowen. This is a great chance to see the wood and learn more about the flora and fauna that live right alongside you.
You are welcome to come to either or both activities. Whether or not you have been involved previously, why not come along to the coffee morning or look around the wood and find out more?
If you have any questions, please call or text Parish Council Clerk, Claire Llewelyn, on
0191 3773658 or 07988 283 287 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your help is crucially important to the future of this important area of Quarrington Hill and our Parish. Please call in for a tea or a coffee and chat.
